Sick baby!

Well, we have had an eventful week. Ryan went out of town last Thursday to a Youth Ministers Retreat and Emmie and I went to my parents for what was suppose to be just 3 days. We had her Easter pics taken on that Thursday (I will post them as soon as I get them) and on Friday we had to take her to the doctor! We thought that we were catching whatever she had early enough but that wasn't the case. She was a VERY sick little girl by Monday and we had to go back to the doctor! He did some chest x-rays and found that she had some infection in her lungs so we are now on meds for pneumonia. She is finally feeling better now and can actually sleep for an extended period of time. No one can prepare you for your baby being sick like that! All I can say is "thank goodness for my parents"...they were real troopers sitting up and holding her at night and during the day so I could get some sleep. Well, that is about all that is happening here but I will definitely post her pics when I get them!

Crazy weather!

The weather in Arkansas this year is NUTS!!! I have added a few pics of Emery and they are over a span of 3 days. We go from spring to winter in 3 days!


Here she is on Sunday in her pretty new dress Gam-maw got for her! Can you believe that it is 70 degrees?!



These 3 pics were taken today when we had about 2-3 inches of snow. I can't say that she was really impressed with it but we enjoyed showing it to her!

Ryan and I wanted everyone to see how much Emery has grown. We have a hilarious video of her laughing and as soon as we get the program to download it we will have it added.

My big girl!

Emery is getting so big and it is all going entirely to fast. She rolled over a couple of weeks ago and that was so exciting. She is so proud of herself when she does it that she will just look up at you and grin with that cute gummy smile! Although that is a big accomplishment for her it is really beginning to make putting a diaper on correctly a big accomplishment for Ryan and myself!
She has started rice cereal with fruits. She liked the bananas but the applesauce is taking some getting use to. I can't believe that she is big enough to eat stuff, but it is so much fun to watch her open her mouth when she sees it coming her way! She is the joy of my life and I am excited to see what every new day is going to bring!

My baby is 4 months old!

Emery turned 4 months on Tuesday and I DO NOT know where the time has gone. She is getting so big and doing so many new things each week. There was a problem with getting her shots yesterday so we are going to do that on her very 1st Valentine's Day. Not exactly my idea of fun but you know, you do what you gotta do. Anyway, my sweet baby or "pooter" as I call her is tired and ready for a bath so I will write more later and hopefully get some pics added!

Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!

Well, I haven't written in a while, so I thought I would update you all on Emery. She is such a sweet baby girl! She is talking so much more...Grandaddy (my dad) laughs when she is about to talk to you because her nostrils flare out! She is very close to rolling from her back to belly but she can already roll from her belly to her back. She smiles at everyone and will let anyone hold her. I have always wanted a friendly baby and I definitely have one. The only thing that we need to work on is that she WILL NOT sleep in her baby bed. She sleeps in the pack-and-play at night and sleeps great but won't sleep in the bed! Anyway, we are totally blessed to have her in our lives and everyday with her is better than the one before!

3 Months Old!!!

I can't believe that my baby girl is already 3 months old. She is growing so much and changing everyday. I am so blessed to have her in my life. Emery is starting to really coo and "talk" to people when they talk to her. Her smiles are contagious and she even had her first belly laugh Thursday night that I got on video. It was hilarious! Anyway, she is perfect and makes everyday I spend with her better than the one before!
