Emery's 1st VBS!

Well, Emery survived her first VBS! She loved it despite her schedule going out the window for those 4 days. She loved the singing and the puppets. Everytime that she would see a puppet come up from behind the curtain she would just freeze in place and stare! It was so cute and everyone got a real kick out of watching her and her expressions!

From baby to big girl!

I know that I say this at almost every post but I can't believe how fast she is growing and how much she is changing! Emery Kate has done so many things lately it is hard to keep up. She is pulling up on everything and will even walk down that couch with just one hand steading her. She lets go and thinks about taking some steps but in the end she always just squats and crawls to whatever she is wanting. I guess she is thinking that is the fastest way to get there, but it won't be long until those "first steps" come!

I posted these random pics just because I thought they were cute. Grammy (Ryan's mom) gave Em this outfit. Isn't it adorable and remarkably enough we wore the have for at least a half hour before deciding it had to go. I LOVE the 2nd pic. You can see her 2 bottom teeth that broke through 1 1/2 months ago and still aren't half way in! Oh well, being basically gummy doesn't stop her from eating whatever we put in her mouth!

This week is our VBS so after Wednesday sometime I will post the pics that we got of her at VBS. She loves it!

Random shots!

Ryan, mom and I took Emery to Harding University for the July 4th fireworks. All of us were wondering how she would like them but she was a real champ. She loved them. As you can see by the pic above she is telling gam-maw about each and every one of them.


Gam-paw is a trooper. He was brave enough to try to feed Em something new. She didn't really like the spaghetti and meat sauce to much but I thought that these pics are adorable!

I got this shot when we got home from a week at my parents. I think that she was so glad to be home that she crawled into her room and started playing with her toys. How cute is that! Ryan had been gone to Mississippi camp so we had spent the week away from home. Emery had her picture made...AGAIN!!! Her grammy and pops came to visit (for those of you who don't know, that is Ryan's parents). She saw fireworks, ate cake, ate homemade ice cream and didn't sleep a wink. She has some sleeping issues and my parents but all in all it was a great week and we really appreciate the time we got to spend with everyone.

First time in the boat!

Emery Kate had her first fishing trip last week. She HATED the life jacket but of course she had to wear it anyway. Dad and I fished while gam-maw and Emery played in the bottom of the boat. She seemed to have a good time. I spent a lot of time in a boat growing up and I really hope that Emery likes it and gets to do that also! Papaw had to make sure that he and gam-maw were the first to take her fishing. I don't know about her, but I am ready to go back!

First Tractor Ride!

Emery Kate has finally been on a tractor! I have to say that it thrilled me and my parents more than it did her, but we were so excited to finally see her reaction. We rode with mom and Emmie kept looking at dad's tractor and saying..."look". She knew her papaw was back there!
